Ryan Clott

After graduating with a degree in Industrial Design from the prestigious Pratt Institute in New York City, Ryan Clott worked within the fashion and consumer goods industry for the next 10 years in New York and Barcelona. Ryan has founded several companies within the fashion space, and for the past several years has worked as a consultant to corporations and startups within the fashion industry and other related industries. During his time in New York, he was a pioneer of the 'Made in USA' movement, and while working in the industry he has designed and developed many products that have sold in retailers around the world. His core strengths are in design thinking, in which he treats every aspect of the value chain as a design opportunity, and as such presents solutions for problem solving, storytelling, brand building, and architecting sustainable innovation. Currently, aside from consulting projects, Ryan is the Managing Director of Fashioneers, a global fashion tech hub and accelerator that is a platform for innovation in the fashion industry. Additionally, Ryan is a regular public speaker and a guest lecturer at several universities.

PROGRAM DETAILS

Angel Challenge is a two months program with weekly sessions for investors and startups. The program agenda varies for the investors and startups during the program. The startups have a more extensive program where both program managers and investors function as mentors and supporters. The investors are evaluating the startups and helping with their investor readiness before negotiating a deal with the most promising startups.

INVESTOR AGENDA

A months after the startups have started working to improve their case together with the program managers and mentors, the official investor program begins. It is time to select the startups that are most investor ready and prepared for investment negotiation.

The official investor program starts Tuesday October 31th and lasts until the finale December 12th.

The official program starts with all startups presenting their investor presentations after 4 weeks of work with the program mangers. The investors rate the startups they most believe to be investor ready.

Startups and investors deep dive into the startups material and plans together.
Investors select the startups they want to negotiate deals with.


NEGOTIATIONS
Investors and founders meet to perform due diligence and negotiate deal terms.

Investors and selected startups start working together building a deal, agreeing on terms, investment structures, valuations and fundraising plan.

Investors and startups continue work together, aiming to finalize the investment agreements and a plan for fundraising.

The final workshop. Due Diligence findings are discussed, investment proposals are presented, and investors are challenged to take their first investment decisions.


FUNDRAISING
When the terms are agreed, the fundraising is on. Investors sign with their favourite startup, and help them fill up their investment round.
