SPEAK UP POLICY
Everyone is expected to respect all fellow participants regardless of their gender, race, religion, age, sexual orientation, disability or other aspects of what we look like, where we come from and who we are.
If you experience, are witness to or have concerns that an illegal or disrespectful behaviour is taking place during any program or activity run by Angel Challenge, we want you to SPEAK UP!
As a program participant or staff member, Angel Challenge relies on you to speak up about potential violations of our Code of Conduct, policies, procedures, the law or other misconduct. Angel Challenge is committed to allowing attendees to experience our programs free of harassment, discrimination, sexism, and threatening or disrespectful behaviour, and we need your help in order to guarantee it. The moment we receive notice that any of this event has occurred, Angel Challenge will act immediately to stop the incident, prevent its recurrence and take appropriate action against those responsible.
Angel Challenge provides a safe environment where everyone is encouraged and empowered to raise concerns. Sometimes it may seem easier to keep quiet or look the other way, but taking action is critical because potential misconduct can have serious consequences for the whole startup community and our daily efforts to build a strong and safe entrepreneurial environment. Reporting potential misconduct helps us to address concerns before they become bigger problems and helps safeguard the ecosystem reputation.
WHEN TO SPEAK UP
We do not accept any kind of disrespectful or illegal behaviour in any of our programs. Any behaviour that is rude, unpleasant, inappropriate, or unprofessional will be considered as disrespectful behaviour and won't be tolerated and will be addressed swiftly. Moreover, we understand illegal behaviour to constitute any conduct that violates or goes against the Norwegian Regulation in force. In particular, against the Equality and Discrimination Act; we strictly forbid it and we'll act in accordance with legal procedures.
If you have been victim or witness to any disrespectful or illegal behaviour, you have seen something that just doesn't feel right, or you have concerns that any of this actions can take place, we encourage you to SPEAK UP as soon as possible.
I WANT TO SPEAK UP!
You can report the incident or concern by:
1. Talking to the Program Manager or AC staff running the activity.
2. Calling the Emergency number:

We realise that there may be instances in which you are not comfortable speaking to the program manager or identifying yourself when raising a concern. The SPEAK UP form is available as an alternate, confidential channel for raising concerns or ethical questions that will be address directly by the Angel Challenge CEO, Maja Adriaensen.
If you would like to report the incident anonymously, simply leave the name, email and phone blank.
Regardless of who you contact, be assured that the information you provide will be handled discreetly and shared only with those who need the information to investigate and resolve the issue.
NON - RETALIATION
We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone because they have raised an issue or concern or have brought important workplace and business issues to the attention of the AC management. We also do not tolerate retaliation against participants, employees or other individuals because they have provided truthful information in connection with investigations. We take claims of retaliation seriously – anyone who is found to have committed a retaliatory act is subject to disciplinary action, termination of their relationship with AC or expulsion.
If you believe that you or someone you know is the victim of retaliation, then report it immediately.
