1) DEFINE YOUR INVESTMENT CRITERIA
The first step in the process of Angel Investing is to define your investment criteria: How much capital are you planning to invest? What type of industries are you most interested in? What type of non financial contribution can you bring? Do you want to invest alone or with other investors? These are some of the question you should define before starting screening and evaluating investment opportunities.
Use the Investment Criteria Guidelines and the Investment Criteria template provided below to help you define your investment criteria.
2) PREPARATIONS FOR PITCH DAY
The first session in the Angel Challenge program is the pitch day, when the startups participating will pitch their business and investment opportunity to the investor group. As an investor in the program, you will start with the evaluation and selection of the companies you would like to work with during the following weeks of the program.
As a preparation for pitch day, read carefully the Startup Evaluation Guide and the Pitch Deck Evaluation Guidelines provided below and perform a first evaluation of the startups in the program using the startup information available on your Investor participant page.
